Preschool program
I have trouble believing that Katie has just two days left of preschool, even with tangible evidence such as tonight's spring program (click play above to watch her fun performance). The school year has passed so quickly!
We are so thankful that her first school experience has been comfortable, loving and fun for her and us.
Mommy, Daddy, Cooper and Grandma cheered on sweet Katie.

Mother's Day portrait
Cooper put together a book about me in class last week for Mother's Day. Each child filled in qualities about his or her mom and drew a picture. (Coop's answers are in bold.)
"My mother is the most wonderful mom in the world! She's as pretty as a flower. She weighs 59. She is 5 fett tall. Her favorite food is chicin. When my mom was little, she used to go to Whataburger. The prettiest thing about my mom is I do not know. I wouldn't trade my mother for my Gaym Boy. Happy Mother's Day! Love, Cooper"
There are other sweet sentiments, such as if I were a flower, I would be a dasey. If I were a superhero, I would be a Star Wars wimin. If I were a car, I would be a miny van.
My favorite is the portrait. Look at that crazy hair! And the fashionable red turtleneck dress!

No correction necessary
Cooper always opens his prayers with: I love that he confuses "great" with "grace."
God is grace
God is good

Chicago
At first it seemed pretty easy to separate this, the "happy" blog, from the Check on Steve blog. All the general family news would go here, and all the health-related news would go there. In reality, there is no separation of Steve's condition from our family. It is part of who we are now.
My guess is the small readership here also reads the much more popular Check on Steve, so posting about Chicago here would be redundant. Instead, here are links to the posts.
